Gracie Rose’s Story

Gracie was born on July 27, 2022 and adopted from the Upper Valley Humane Societyhttps://uvhs.org/ in Enfield NH on September 29, 2022, when she was just two months and two days old. We thought that was kind of young, but between shelters needing to get animals into forever homes as soon as they can and the fact that kittens go fast, the good people at the shelter told us to come right away if we wanted a kitten.

(More on that later, along with the story of the amazing kitty Mila who inspired us to adopt a kitten. We had initially planned to adopt an older cat when our elder cat Orsini passed on until we met Miss Mila!)

At 2.38 pounds, Gracie Rose was such a tiny thing when we brought her home. However, that did not stop her from settling right in and making sure the dog knew who was boss.

She’s a funny cat: full of the beans, sometimes sweet, and sometimes, like that little girl with a curl… And, she bites. Not too hard. But yes, she bites and will wop you one if she gets annoyed. But honestly, she makes us laugh so much that we just deal with it, as does the dog.

Coming soon – pictures of her first day with us.
